Medicaid Enrollment – How to Apply
You and/or your children may qualify for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) based on your income and family size. The good news is there's no limited enrollment period for these programs and you can apply and enroll all year round. Under the Affordable Care Act, New Jersey has expanded its Medicaid program (NJFamilyCare) to cover more people. Other good news...you can be working and still qualify. If you eligible, your coverage can begin immediately.
Do you qualify for Medicaid?
You may be eligible if you are:
between the ages of 19-64 years old
a single person with an income of less than $14,856.00 *or*
have a family of four (4) with an income less than $30,656.00
